Message from the Editor
As wedding season begins to wind down, I find myself reflecting on the changes that have occurred in the relatively short but busy season. This industry changes so fast, it's nice to see the personal growth keeping pace with it. We've had the opportunity to break into destination weddings this year, including one in Mexico City. We've had phenomenal success with Trash the Dress sessions and our Urban Prom senior photos.
The most exciting thing however has been the growth of my second team of photographers, which include my sister Ellen, my sister-in-law Sandi, and my right-hand in the studio Amanda. Their passion and excitement for the industry and their personal expression has been nothing short of awesome. I have created a new slideshow of their work from this season and I'm proud to invite you to watch it. Hopefully their work will inspire you as much as it has myself.

Finger Lakes T.E.P. News
This year our very own Finger Lakes PPSNYS, is slated to have another great pair of speakers. Mary Fisk-Taylor and Jamie Hayes. They are highly regarded national and international speakers and highly talented photographers. Please keep the date on your calendar, February 19th, 2008. We will again have it in Batavia, so we will be able to offer this T.E.P to all interested at a more convenient location. To learn more about their style and talent, go to, www.hayesandfisk.com….SEE YOU THERE!!!
The Inter-Net…A Great Sales Tool
In the recent months, I have "hired" a great sales aid, The Inter-Net. You say, what! At one time I thought using an on-line company to handle my sales of extra print orders was, well ridiculous. However, not anymore,
I have been using Collages.net for about 2 months, and it was the best business decision I made this year. Since I have been using them, one 4 hr. wedding brought in an extra $475, and a 30 minute 60th Wedding Anniversary totaled out at $675 and from it I scheduled a senior portrait session. Also, I did a fundraiser for the Darfur Relief Fund in Ontario, NY. The orders added $200 extra, not bad.
Collages.net is just one of the companies offering this service. It works, so look around and pick one you are happy with, and see your profits grow, with little effort on your part.

December:
Date/time/place to be decided for a social meeting. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that if they are anything like the last few December gatherings that a great time will be had by all. Get together with friends, socialize, get tips and hints, ask those questions that you don't want to ask in front of the group. Just have a great time. Maybe Craig will even give some Photoshop help at a reduced rate for the holidays. Thanks for the help already.
