*** Notice ***
THE FINGER LAKES SECTION WILL HOLD IT'S ANNUAL FAMILY PICNIC ON
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 16 AT SENECA LAKE STATE PARK IN GENEVA, Pavilion #2.
Thank you to Neil Sjoblom for reserving that. Remember there is a
$7.00 admission charge to get in the Park.
For those of you who hadn't heard, the day at Genesee Country Museum
was getting too complicated and started sounding like more work than
we planned.
We will gather at the park and enjoy each others company at about
2:00 PM. Dinner will be about 4:00PM.
Plan to bring your own plates, cups, utensils and beverages. As
always, your family and friends are invited. Bring games, bathing
suits, comfy chairs if you like, and anything you usually bring to a
picnic.
Craig and Linda Hutchings are arranging for the hots and hamburgers.
(Thank you so much!) Since we didn't have a chance to plan for food
at the June meeting, I am asking everyone to reply with what dish you
would like to bring. I will keep a list and if you don't know what to
bring, just ask and I will let you know what we need.
Thanks and hope to see EVERYONE at the Picnic.
- Honey
This month's meeting will be at Seneca Lake State Park.
Message from the Editor
If anyone has ever had a question as to what being a member of PPSNY is all about, last months gathering at Kevin's studio in Batavia should have answered any of those questions. It's about the camaraderie and sharing of knowledge between colleagues that makes us stronger as individuals and a group.
On a personal level, I gained a much clearer insight on shooting seniors outdoors than I've ever had before. I have been using a 200mm f2.8 lens and a reflector since the meeting and the results have been dramatic. I've also broken the routine of photos that became second nature and ventured deeper into the back alleys and corners of downtown Canandaigua searching for more unique settings. Here are some of the results.

Nylora Bruleigh,
CPP, A.C.Ph

It is very important to me as a
photographer to keep things exciting in my everyday
work. I experiment with “new” angles, lighting, and
exposures while thinking “outside of the box”. I always
take a couple of images for myself during every session.

Apologies for late EPhoto
Very sorry for delay with this
issue! Our seniors are up A LOT and my wife
Lorraine broke her wrist (Left hand, she's a lefty), so
I'm working day and night, forgot what a golf course
looks like! There'll be another issue soon!
Thanks, Steve

talented 'up and coming' photographer in NH. Her
text on the creation of this image is very
entertaining! Thanks Nylora for a great job and
exclusive content for EPhoto readers. If you'd
like to be featured in EPhoto, please contact me, we're
always looking for talent! Thanks, Steve
