Message from the Editor

As I prepare to embark on what will hopefully be a successful speaking career, several questions keep creeping in to the back of my mind. What makes me qualified to present to my peers with any credibility? Will people take me seriously? Are my images good enough? All I have to do to shake out of it is to think of what I look for in a speaker. Being entertained is always nice, but more importantly, will I come away with an idea or a bit of inspiration that I didn't have before. If I could inspire just one person in the room with my presentation then it was a success. It dawned on me that this is what being a member of PPSNY is all about. We are all here to inspire each other. Just by being a part of this group, attending meetings and sharing information with each other, we are all pushing each other to go beyond our traditional boundaries and strive for something more. With that being said, I want to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for bringing to the table a part of yourselves to share. We are all better for it.

- Steve Chesler

Message from the Section Chairperson

Community Service: How do you choose to give back to your community? There are so many ways; Churches, service clubs (Kiwanis, Rotary, and others), local civic groups (Historical Societies, Garden Clubs, Arts Councils, Chamber of Commerce, Habitat for Humanity just to name a few. Volunteering should be a part of ones life in some form.

"Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others.
Unsuccessful people are always asking, "What's in it for me?"
