Message from the Editor

Oooh Baby!

At our November meeting, Samara Hutcheson from Buffalo-Niagara came to the Finger Lakes to present her program on newborn photography. Thanks to her inspiring program, I went out and found a few newborns to photograph. That's the beauty of this organization, to inspire us to be better photographers and open new doors that we may not have explored on our own. Thank you Samara.

Message from the 1st Vice President, FLPPSNY

Hi all! Excellent Council meeting, and I have a couple reminders.

First, if any of you have the desire to do an "Early Bird" session at convention, you need to contact Deb Woodard NOW!

Second, all of the people teaching at Workshop will be in evidence at Convention. So far we have 14 people from Finger Lakes registered. We can do better! It is an awesome opportunity to meet and learn from some incredible people.

Next, several of you have spoken to me about speaking for our meetings. Would you please contact me reiterating your subject, and when you might be willing to speak.

Honey suggested we hold our "studio" meeting at my place, which is remarkable, seeing as I don't have a "studio".... but I DO have a ramshackle medieval village in one of my back fields, surrounded by woods. It has the possibility of being an "interesting" event, with a dish to pass cleverly hidden within the tavern.... If this has interest to you all, let me know.

Workshop is on the horizon, and I am looking forward (with breathless anticipation) to rejoining the Gazebo Social Club, and being, once more, inspired by my mentors and friends.

Please don't hesitate to call or send me an e-mail!

Monroe
